You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out to Start Therapy.

Maybe you're constantly overthinking, replaying conversations, or feeling like nothing you do is ever good enough. You might struggle with intrusive thoughts, feel disconnected from your body, or notice that even when you know something logically, you still can't seem to feel differently.

You deserve a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Hi, I'm Amber! I believe therapy isn't about finding what's wrong with you. It's about understanding what you've been through, how those experiences have shaped you, and what you need to move forward.

With a background in trauma-informed yoga and psychology, I'm especially interested in the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and curious about how anxiety, perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, and past experiences can shape the way we move through the world.

Whether you're navigating trauma, OCD-related concerns, anxiety, depression, or simply feeling stuck, we'll work together to explore what's happening beneath the surface and help you reconnect with yourself.

Individual Therapy: $100 per session

Sliding-scale appointments available.

I'm Amber, an intern pursuing my Master's in Social Work at the University of Utah and a committed lifelong learner of the biopsychosocial human experience. This means that in the therapy room, you are always the expert of your story.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I graduated with LSU with a bachelors in English with plans to pursue a law degree. When the political climate began to change in 2016, I was studying for the LSAT and didn't like where things were headed. I decided to switch to a Master's in Psychology (to buy myself time to make a decision). While I loved the prospect of working with people, I didn't like psychology's focus on what was wrong with people rather than how what happened to them happened.

In the midst of my transition from law to mental health, I became a yoga teacher. Training in Bali, Indonesia, with a trauma-informed lens solidified my decision to work in the mental health field and an interest in treatment of trauma. By working through my own experiences from childhood during my training, I learned how intertwined the body is with our emotional experiences.

Now, pursuing a Master's in Social Work, I am able to work with all the facets of health that impact our life experiences — the body, mind, and spirit. I have a deep passion for sitting with people in the muck of life during your darkest times. I have a particular interest in supporting you through trauma recovery, body image struggles, intrusive thoughts, OCD, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQIA+ experiences.

Outside of the therapy room, you can always find me with a good book, my cat close by, and an unfinished craft project. As an Asian American, I love to learn about my culture through food and cooking. I also love any excuse to move my body in a mindful way through yoga, outdoor walks, and Pilates.

Therapy is a space to reconnect with your strengths and step into the life that you really want. I'm here to provide a sounding board, whether you're healing from trauma, reconnecting with yourself, or just navigating life's challenges.
