Salty Counseling — Trauma Specialty Clinic in Salt Lake City

Build your career in a trauma specialty clinic — without burnout, chaos, or guesswork.

Salty Counseling is a trauma specialty clinic in Salt Lake City focused on ethical, depth-oriented clinical work and structured mentorship. We believe strong therapists are built through clarity, containment, and consistent support — not productivity pressure or burnout culture.

Many therapists come from environments where they were overworked, underpaid, under-supervised, or expected to “figure it out on their own.” Salty Counseling was built as an alternative to that model.

Our clinic offers structured supervision, sustainable caseload expectations, and clear clinical systems so therapists can focus on learning and client care — not survival.

Who We Are

Salty Counseling is a trauma specialty clinic grounded in EMDR, somatic therapy, and nervous-system–informed care. Our work focuses on treating chronic stress, anxiety, and deeply rooted trauma patterns with intention, pacing, and clinical depth.

We operate as a focused clinical environment that prioritizes thoughtful treatment planning, ethical decision-making, and quality of care.

What Supervisees Are Saying

“For the past year, Q served as my supervisor while I completed my MSW at the University of Utah. Her approach allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. She fostered a supervisory relationship built on mutual respect, curiosity, and trust, and helped me develop confidence in my clinical voice.”

— S. G., MSW Intern

Our Philosophy of Work

  • Trauma-informed, ethics-driven decision-making

  • Clear expectations around scheduling, documentation, and scope

  • Strong professional boundaries that protect clinicians and clients
