  • Session Fee:

    Licensed Therapist (LCSW):
    $225 per 50-minute session

    Associate Therapist (ACMHC/CSW):
    $145 per 50-minute session

  • Insurance:

    Salty Counseling is a private pay practice and is not in-network with insurance.
    Many clients use their out-of-network insurance benefits and receive 50–90% of session fees reimbursed.

    We provide Superbills, and we also partner with Mentaya, which can submit Superbills on your behalf to simplify the process. Check your benefits below to see if your plan includes out-of-network coverage.

Hours: Monday–Wednesday & Friday, 11 AM – 3 PM

Scheduling: Sessions are held weekly or every other week at a consistent day and time reserved just for you. This spot remains exclusively yours while you’re actively in therapy, supporting steady progress and consistency.

Self Pay Rates

  • Individual Sessions (50 min): $225

  • Initial Evaluation Session: $225

  • 90-Minute Intensive Session: $395

  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP): Please inquire for availability

Accepted Insurance: Out-of-Network (via Superbills or Mentaya)

Out-of-Network Reimbursement Support
We can provide monthly Superbills for you to submit to your insurance. We also partner with Mentaya, a third-party service that makes out-of-network reimbursement simple. With Mentaya, we can:

  • Submit claims with no paperwork

  • Track reimbursements in real time

  • Skip dealing with insurance companies

Mentaya is optional and risk-free — they charge a 5% fee only for successful reimbursements.

Appointments and Rescheduling

At Salty Counseling, your appointment time is reserved for you on an ongoing basis (weekly or every other week) until you choose to pause or graduate from therapy. Because this time is held in advance, the full session fee is charged for each scheduled appointment, whether or not you attend.

The only exception is if you cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. With proper notice, you may schedule a make-up session during the week before, the same week, or the week after your original appointment. Make-up sessions are scheduled in addition to your regular recurring appointment, not in place of it. The fee from the missed session is then applied to the make-up session.

You are still responsible for the full session fee if:

  • You do not attend your session (no-show)

  • You cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice

  • You cancel with proper notice, but do not schedule a make-up session

For clients using public transportation, there is a UTA bus stop located directly outside the building, making the office accessible from surrounding Salt Lake Valley communities.

What's It Near

Our office is conveniently located in Holladay, UT, just west of Olympus High School and next to Black Diamond Equipment.

When you arrive, free parking is available directly next to the building. Additional parking is also available in the Black Diamond Equipment lot, which is shared with the office building.

Enter through the north/front entrance of the building. Once inside, head downstairs to Suite 101, located on the ground floor. The office door is marked with a sign that reads: Salty Counseling – STE 101
