Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Are you accepting new clients?
The best way to find out if I am currently accepting new clients is to reach out to us through our contact page.
Do you only work with women?
My practice centers around Millennial women, but I also support any clients who resonate with this work.
Do you work with children or teens?
Unfortunately, I work exclusively with adults.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! I offer a free 20-minute consultation call. It’s a chance to ask questions and feel out if we’re a good match — no pressure, no commitment.
How long are sessions?
Each therapy session is 50 minutes in length. I do offer 90-minute sessions upon request and availability.
How much are sessions?
My fee is $225 for a 50-minute session. I work with clients who are ready to go beyond quick fixes and invest in deeper healing. Private-pay therapy gives you the freedom to do the work at your own pace, without the restrictions of insurance. Many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through Mentaya, which can submit claims and superbills on your behalf. You can find more details on the Contact page, or reach out directly with any questions.
Do you take my insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. I can provide monthly superbills that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. I also partner with Mentaya, a service that can submit claims on your behalf for a 5% fee. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.
How long will I be in therapy for?
It depends on your goals and what you’d like to work on. Some clients come weekly for just a few months, while others continue longer for deeper healing. We’ll shape the timeline around your needs, and I can share more about what to expect during our consultation call.
Do you have to give me a diagnosis?
No. If you plan to use insurance for reimbursement, a diagnosis is required by insurance companies. However, if you’re paying privately and prefer not to have a diagnosis on record, we can move forward without one. Many of my clients — especially those in sensitive professions — find this gives them peace of mind, allowing them to be more open and honest in therapy without worrying about how it might impact their work or future. Please reach out if you’d like to talk this through further.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
Both! My office is located in Salt Lake City, but I also offer secure telehealth appointments anywhere in Utah. You can also switch based on your preference.
What happens during the consultation call?
Our consultation call is a 20-minute phone conversation where you can share what’s been going on and what you’re looking for in therapy. I’ll explain my approach, answer your questions, and together we’ll decide if it feels like the right fit.
